Turn a Research Report Into a Podcast Without Losing Context

To turn a research report into a podcast, review the written evidence before generating audio. A spoken version can make a report easier to revisit, but listeners cannot inspect a citation marker as easily as readers can. Keep the written report available and make sure the narration preserves its qualifications and distinctions.

Approve the report before generating narration

Check the main findings, sources and limitations in the written version. Correct names, acronyms and numerical statements that would be confusing aloud. If you shorten the report for listening, review it as a new editorial version: a missing condition can change the claim even when the remaining sentences sound smooth.

Prepare a listening-friendly version

Use shorter sentences where that improves comprehension and introduce unfamiliar terms before abbreviating them. Describe the meaning of a table rather than reading every cell. When referring to a source, use a recognizable author or organization where appropriate. Keep the complete references in the companion document.

  • Preserve uncertainty words such as “may” and “in this sample.”
  • Check how dates, units and percentages are spoken.
  • Explain references to charts or appendices.
  • Keep findings and recommendations distinguishable in the narration.

Generate audio in Humanizily Research Agent

Use the report’s audio or podcast action when available in the workspace. Listen to the output before downloading or sharing it. Check Arabic and English names, mixed-language terms and any words whose pronunciation changes the meaning. If you revise the report afterward, regenerate or clearly identify the matching audio version.

Share the audio with its evidence trail

Provide the written report or share link alongside the audio so listeners can inspect the references. State the topic and scope in a short description, and identify any substantial adaptation. Before publishing externally, check rights and permissions for the material included. Keep an accessible written version for people who prefer reading or cannot use audio.

Worked example

Starting point

The chart below demonstrates the effect; see [4].

Suggested wording or approach

The report compares the groups in a chart. Consult the written version for the values, limitations and source reference.

Illustrative narration edit. Explain the actual chart only after checking its values; do not invent a spoken conclusion.

Common questions

Does narration verify the research?

No. Validate the written report and its sources before treating the audio as ready.

Should I read every citation number aloud?

Use a listening-friendly approach while keeping complete references in the accompanying written report.

What if I edit the report after creating audio?

Update the audio or label the versions clearly so listeners know which report it matches.
